Mercedes and high mileage

Are diesel Mercs in the same league as BMW diesel engines as in they can go on seeminly forever if maintained? is 113k on a full service history anything to worry about or they pretty good?

the facelift 211s are very good, the e320 is a great car with great performace,driven loads at work

Only owned W124's but the e320 petrol had 220k and purred like a baby kitten, so sweet!
