IDENTIFY A CHIP IN MY L6 ECU COSSIE
just thought id take a look inside my l6 ecu and the chip in it has printed on it what looks like

PLUS IT HAS A LITTLE WHITE LABEL ON IT WITH THE FOLLOWING WRITTEN ON IT

These numbers are the chip manufacturers identity and programming voltage type.
The base type common to many semiconductor chip makers is 2764
For your information, this means its a 8 kilobytes (8192) times 8 bits.

These numbers serve to identify the software within the chip.
The will ONLY have significance to the original mapper/programmer/tuning company.
They do NOT reveal any standard type of information.
However, they do look similar to the original standard non chipped (200 bhp)
cossie program as supplied by Ford.
It is my opinion 90% that this is a standard car !!!
The white label is placed over the chip window to prevent sunlight from
erasing the data inside.
