Default Throttle Cable ( roll eyes)

quote from a old thread...

I've noticecd recently that when I put my foot down on the accelerator pedal it isn't very responsive alos the pedal seems 'floppy' is this just a case of adjusting the accelerator cable? The car drives ok just seems lacking in power when I put my foot down straight away, seems to take a second or two to acknowledge its being pressed!

Also were is the accelerator pedal located and is it easy enough to adjust?

This describes exactly the problem im having, where the adjuster is located on the throttle cable im having a hard time getting into it seems to be stuck well in there so i cant adjust my cable also will this fix the problem of the vibrating pedal?.

james check the accelerator pedal its self theres a little rubber that stops the cable just pulling right though. when i had that problem i found the rubber was shot and every time i put my foot down hard the rubber was giving loads so i replaced it and now its perfect (also im pritty sure the cables are self ajusting so if its not that you need a new cable)
