AirTech Gen 3 Intercooler
Hi all,
Im buying an ST-3 next weekend and it has a dreamscience remap, K&N, and a decat but doesn't have a upgraded intercooler.
I've had a look around and the best one for value and performance, in my opinion, unless you know otherwise then inform me please, is the AirTech Gen 3.
Has anyone had any experience with these and do they come with all the brackets etc to make an easy fit?
Cheers,
Dave

These seem to be very good value for money around the £300 price mark. I have seen some good reviews on them too in fast ford and performance ford mags where they have reported bigger power gains then some of the more expensive brands .I too will be buying one for my st.
Its it worth getting one if the car only has a dreamscience map (currently trying race) and a k&n panel filter?
Can get it fitted at work hopefully so that isnt a problem. They said they will 'give it a try'.
I want the black one for mine http://www.autospecialists.co.uk/Bla...oduct-742.html

Yes mate its definatley worth getting one as the factory intercooler is inadaquate, so as soon as you up the power the charge temps shoot up and the standard intercooler struggles big time. There is a ST intercooler fitting guide on the forge motorsport website (different cooler but fitting is still pritty much the same). Hope this helps. steve
I've got one on mine, it was a doddle to fit, the longest bit was jacking it up and removing the dozen screws and clips for the plastic undertray. Took about half an hour in total to do.

Afternnon lads,
Ive now ordered an Airtech gen 3 intercooler in black with the red logo and a Autospecialists gen 2 CIAS. The lads there are brilliant and gave me both for £500 and free delivery.
This should see my ST pushing 290-300 bhp now so when ive fitted them ill take some photos and post a review.
Its like christmas lol

I have now fitted both the Airtech intercooler and the Autospecialists CAIS and I can really tell the difference. Not so much in the lower down rev range as the intercooler and induction system work best at high boost levels but the turbo is much stronger now up through the revs. I seriously think both together have added possibly 30 bhp which is pretty good for 500 quid. It seems so much smoother and effortless too.
Has anyone got a simular spec'd ST to compare bhp figures.
Mine has de-cat, dsci remap, autospecialists Gen 2 CAIS, Airtech Gen 3 Intercooler, dual piston dump valve.
Here are a few pics
