My missus has got me a Super car experience voucher and I am going to rag around a Lambo Gallardo around Rockingham racetrack.
Has anyone else on here done it.

A friend of mine did it, but was very disappointed with the amount of time he actually spent driving the car. Let's hope yours is better than his, but hope you enjoy it as gallardo is one of my favourite cars, now I had better go down the shop get my lottery ticket.

 

I did one of these last year, not in a Lambo but I got to drive an Audi R8 and a Aston Martin Vantage around brunters!

To be honest you dont spend a massive amount of time in the cars but I didnt expect to for £80 a car (£160 for the full day including videos/pics etc). Got 3/4 laps in each, 1 sighter and 2/3 hot laps!

Saying that though, we turned up fairly early in the morning and didnt leave until it was dark so we got good value for money in terms of a day out!

Would love to do another, would be the lambo/ferrari package if I did another one!

Thats all I'm worried about not getting enough time in the car driving it really.
Hope I can rev it and give it a bit of stick.

Can clarify all whats been said about lack of time, I was very disappointed when I went there!

I done the "Arial Atom experience", if you are a "track virgin" they will take you around in a car (As a passenger), in my case it was a Mini Cooper S.

Then in your actual car, you go round with the instructor and they show you the lines etc, basically instruct you and tell you what to do which they had already done.

Obviously if you have done track days before this will be an advantage, I diden't get to use the cars potential what so ever and was told me if I spun the car I would be sent off the track (like I was going to anyway).

Mixed views eeerm. Well as long as I can give it stick on the straights I dont care as, I am a track virgin. And considering it was a present, its a free go in a Lambo to me.

 

I am sure you will enjoy it, no matter how much time you have in the car it won't feel enough. But a good present

Well I have to say I think it is Just about worth it.
Only told to be in 3rd/4th the whole time.
But got the Lamborghini to only 5.5 k so didn't get the full power potential of it. Got the back end out a little once which was a laugh, and took over the single seater group.
I will now in the future want to take my car round a track but would need to learn about avoiding other track users as the instrustor in the car said they were his mirrors only.
Bought the missus a passenger ride in an Elise. She loved it.
Was gutted though as the instructor Said 'Are you enjoying it, then once I replied said well your going in now lol.

My wife for xmas bought me a supercar lifestyle get to drive a lambo gallardo,db9,ferrari 360,porche gt3 oakley,tvr sagaris super sport,tvr 350,nissan gtr,porshe gt2 you get to pick to drive three cars from that choice havent decided which yet only problem have to wait till august 5th .

 

go for the lambo for the sound lol
