I recently noticed a pipe hanging below the engine, its connected to the air filter but has come away from the front of the car. It needs to be replace but I'm not sure where it goes. My car is 02 plate ST170.

I'm a bit of a novice about engines, I took it to halfords for a service & they said couldn't fix it because its a special engine design.

anyone help? please

i cant post a picture for some reason, ive done some digging around. the air filter fitted is a non standard one, i need a duct hose about 1.25 meters. i have tried halfords but they only
have a stupid tin foil pipe, any ideas where to look, thanks

 

hi do you mean the snorkel thats attached above the grill and goes under the battery tray to the air box

 

yeah, thats the one.

 

Got mine from ford the other day for my st170 cost a total of 44 pound mite be able to get a second hand one on eBay or a ford forum but easiest way is ford as they can order in for same day
