Default whats needed to change saff 4x4 propshaft donut (thicker type) to an esc cos type

just wondering what i would need to convert my saff cos 4x4 propshaft with the thicker 50 pence peice donut, to take a late saff/escort cosworth propshaft fitting for the thinner round donut as im struggling finding a replacement 50 pence peice donut,so been told its better to convert to later escort cos type as there more available to replace
so need to know whats needed to do the swap over????

so i take it the front half of the escort cosworth prop has a big enough hole in the end of it to slide over the end of the input shaft on my saff cos gearbox???

My donut (V6 2.9 4x4) has given up the ghost but I haven't removed it yet.

The part number 6518778 is still available from the local dealer at £88 + VAT or thereabouts and I think that is the same PN as the Cosworth 4x4.

Also, Femi Bilstein 05854 is listed for my car and costs £48 + delivery so if the Ford part is common to XR and Cosworth, so should this one. Or am I missing something? If so, please let me know before I waste my money!

Stumbled across this on ebay and although it won't fit the Sierra, I wonder if the design (metal plates - or a solid metal disc) with 6 pressed bushes is likely to be more robust than the standard rubber one?

im sure something like that could be made by mk motorsport or similar.

Id imagine there would be more vibration though as part of the purpose of rubber bushes/dohnuts etc is reducing vibration and harshness.

Bad news chaps. The replacement donut arrived today (good service from Mister Auto) but it is very much thinner, so I guess this is an EsCos style item.

Here are the pics - the original is 47mm thick, the replacement is only 30mm. And no central bearing included.

The nose on the front section of the propshaft sticks all the way through, so there is nowhere for the gearbox end to also engage in the bearing - if I can get it out and swapped over.
Would it work if I just cut the nose back a bit?
