I hate for a start sound dubbing of fake engine sounds in films, inc gear changes/revving engines etc that dont sound right to what the car/bike is doing in the film.
Now I was watching the other day Ultimate Police Inteceptors and during the scenes seeing the Scoobie's and EVO's going along the engine sound like an Aston Martin DB5 sound.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Does it boil other peoples blood too?????

 

Should have seen "Worlds Wildest Police Chases" yesterday.

"Here's a clip from Oxford, near London England" the car was driving in a bang straight line yet the tyres were screaching, then the Big Ben chimes come in. It was cringe worthy at best. And they dubbed over the police voices in a terrible Dik Van Dyke/Mary Poppins English accent

 

They always dub noises on in films, appraently actors need it to be as quiet as possible to concentrate on their scripts so most of the engine noises are fake

One massive credit to the Fast and Furious franchise as they do use the actual cars noises.
Well, the first one did any way so I read.

 

T2 where John Connor is being chased on his motorbike.Its deffo a 4 stroke/looks like an XR but has 2 stroke sound I know its old but everytime I see it,it drives me nuts Oh and its like the Ateam van,it has 32 gears

 

Road wars is bad for that , they drive round a corner at about 3mph and they got some stupid sound effect of a car at about 4k revs and ragging to the next gear, and tyres squealing! . next time anyone watches it, have a look lol... bloody annoying .

 

Makes me laugh when a car stops on some grass the tyres squeal, and Mr T's van on The A team, it used to change gear every 5 seconds on a straight road

 

Jeremy C and Jodie Kid put V8 sound to their Fiat 500 and Mini too lol as a piss take

 

just what i thought yeah the bike is a honda xr 100 four stroke dubbed to sound like a cr and it has more gears than the ateam van.
and them gmc vans are auto lol

 

re terminator, i realised that xr100 was dubbed to be a full fat cr at 10yrs old! the missing expansion chameber and cg125 looking head confirm this. god knows how they expect the male audience to fall for the sound effects. with all the money they budget for films and they dont know and 4cyl from a v8. worse still, they get manual cars to sound like a big yank auto.

 

heres another drip then.
say a car has done a long journey say a couple of hundred miles and for example the car is just pulling outside the motel/hotel etc etc.
the car is pouring out condensation cause the prodution team only started it 5 mins ago just to get the shot of it pulling up after said long journey. ahhhhh. that wouldnt happen now would it.

 

i still remember this from the days i used to watch corrie...me and a mate at work next day were like, did you hear the engine sound effects on that galaxy last night..hehe...

well i think its dubbed on... never heard a galaxy at full chat before, check this..

Watch the film 'Drive', they are absolutely shocking in that film its the main reason i turned it off. The car he drives has about 28 forward gears and even changes up when reversing They used the same sound clip for every driving scene

 

LMAO. what where they thinking. Sounds nice though, sand again sounds like a DB5 or another 6cyl car lol.

 

It does my head in too, especially when they dub tyre screeches over a film of a car driving on grass
