looking for one on behalf of a guy at work. he has a J plate 4x4 with 185,000 miles on it! needs a new tank but none of the local factors do them.

does anyone on here supply them and what prices?

You can still get them off ford, there pricey though, three hundred and something quid my local one quoted me, i got mine off ebay, hoping its alright otherwise ill have to get one from ford, think the ebay one was about hundred quid.

 

I got one off Ebay, not that it's fitted yet !

Make sure you buy a new seal from Ford for where the filler pipe goes in, they go hard and can leak after transfering them from one tank to another.

Fuel sender seal would be worth getting as well.

 

Ones on eBay are fine, people go on about the swirl pot in the original tank Vs. the aftermarket pattern tanks, you don't need it. As said you need the Ford seal, the one the aftermarket tank comes with isn't right.
