Hi All.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in the Surrey/Middlesex/Bucks areas to refurb 16" Oz alloys with light curbs marks for a reasonable price?

Don't really care whether they're painted or powder coated but would like to specify my own colour as they're my track wheels so going bright and lary. Places I've found so far seem to be £55 a corner which is WAY OTT for my liking as I don't need them show room pristine but some filling may be required on the curbing to rebuild the lip!

I just got all my wheels done by my mate at Greenford Tyres.. I paid £50 a corner and they did a good job. I did find one cheaper at £45 a corner based in north watford somewhere, but after having to take them there and collect there wasn't that much difference in cost.

Greenford Tyres: ask for Paul-02088130700 Tell him Matt Charge recommended him. The company he uses collects on a Tuesday and you have them back by the Saturday.

I have used this company many times and cost £32.50 a wheel for powder coat etc up to 20" rims without tyres and they collect and drop off for free if within 15 miles of watford, price goes up if tyres are fitted

hey matty, bit weird that as thats the day bjv collect and deliver you sure greenford aint using them and sticking their bit on top

I have used these guys for all my wheels ansd have always been totally happy with their work.

Highly recommneded, and they are 60 miles from me!

 

thanks for the recomendations guys i'm not 100% decided on colour yet but i'll call them next week to start the ball rolling as i don't think i'll get better else where.

Does anyone know if they can turn a set of wheels around same day?

 

powdercoating wheels takes a good 12/24 hours in a chemical tub to strip if anyone tell you that yer can have them back the same day then i wouldent use them as there proberly just shot blasting the wheels without stripping them first for a nice job it takes at least 48 hours im coating wheels every day so no the score

 

same day turnaround is just going to be filler and paint surely and will be a sub standard job to powder coating

 

Ok clearly was asking the impossible with that one

I've never come accross same day turn around but thought if it was possible I could try to arange it with the company as I want to deliver and collect myself and obviously same day would make life easy. Well I will scratch that idea off, Cheers.

 

bjv as I posted the link too are the cheapest around and there turnaround is 4 days, so I would base any quality refurb on this time scale mate, bjv let you deliver and collect but their service is free on this anyway and you never know you may lose the vat by dropping them off etc

lol i know he is taking too much off the bmw owners - you only need to stand outrside his house, chatting to him and the amount of people going past blasting their horn at him is ridiculous
