are any parts for the 3 door impossible to get, windscreen for example.
the reason is im tied between a focus rs or a 3 door.
i wouldnt like to think my windscreen needs replacing and you cant get them.

 

You can get screens, most serviceable parts just a lot of replacement parts like exterior and interior trim is nla - when buying its easier to buy right the first time then you don't have the problem sourcing stuff

 

Mechanical parts are no problem, but body and trim are not easy to come by, great cars though just if you want one buy the best you can as due to difficulty in getting parts a rough one is likely to cost loads to make mint. Focus rs is completely different animal and some parts still not easy to find. Focus is more suited to regular use, but can't beat the feeling a cossie gives. If planning on using daily then the focus is much better. I wouldnt swap my 3 door for a focus but also wouldn't use my 3 door every day.
