Default Focus mk1 inlet manifold removal

How is the inlet manifold removed? Also a pic of where the bolts are located would be excellent. Need to change my iscv over so inlet needs to come off

You can reach it from underneath, you need long arms and a 1/4" drive socket set.

Ideally on a ramp so you can stand up and reach straight up, your working by feel though as its not easy to see.

What problem are you having with the car

I've had a go before and couldn't reach. Arms aint that long hence why I wanted to do it from above.

You can do it from above without removing the manifold. Just take the airbox and trunking off. It's a bit fiddly but can be done.

Suppose I may be able to remove the battery and the intake pipe and get in that way maybe?

Easy to do but fiddly, you can gain access to the top one from above and bottom from underneath, just as fiddly as removing the inlet manifold as youve got 4 or so bolts to gain access to underneath the manifold.

If you take off the throttle body you can get to the top bolt easier.
