I was always told taht any lower than about 30mm, you may need new dampers aswell. I just lowered both my Mk1 Focus's on Eibach springs, which is 30mm.

I heard about new dampers as well but others also told me it would be fine so I dropped my focus 50mm from standard on all the standard shocks and stuff and it's fine... Just a bit stiff! Hasn't had any effect on handling whatsoever so you should be fine.

If you go too low, you'll find the suspension travel on the shock is reduced to a point where its not effective. Really go low, and you end up a point where the shock is effectively solid, and if you hit a bump or an undulation at speed, instead of soaking it up, the wheel will just bounce. Wheels on the ground are good for grip
30mm should be ok. 50 mm less so.

Old thread, might be best to start a new one.
Just to give an idea what 30mm looks like.
