There must be other cars to break, isn't it ? You don't break cars like that without any emotion. I agree that emotions don't bring you money, but come on. I guess at the end a car is just a bunch of pieces of metal put together, but still...

 

It's ok Matt, I'm with you. I can fully understand the reasons behind breaking it, but I do hate seeing it happen to cars like this. It's not just any old Cossie, and there aren't too many complete ones left really.

 

if some of them didnt get broken there would be no parts to keep others going/ running.
lots of wrc/grpa shells end up being re built as re shell cars ( rolled in a rally )
some get built as track cars with lots of great parts fitted to them again .
they still live on .

That may be, but if cars that were built back in the day get broken when there's nothing wrong with them, that seems a bit sad. I'd rather see the totalled/neglected cars being used for parts to keep originals alive instead of perfectly good cars taken apart to build track day cars and things.

However, that's my opinion, I'm a sentimental old sod and like to see old rally/race cars with history stay together. I won't corrupt the thread any longer
