Default puma brake upgrades

im picking up a puma at the weekend to ferry back and to work and im gonna tinker with it a little mainly brakes and lowering, so ive seen the fiest zetec-s conversion in fast ford using st170 discs calipers and carriers from a mk3 mondeo i imagine i can do this to the puma but which calipers do you use 1.8 or 2.0 or are they all the same, also does the abs still work with these calipers??
thanks for any info
oh can i get rid of the drums and use a st170 set up on the rears

i have st170 discs and mk3 deo callipers on mine. brakes are now brutal lol

i belive that all mk3 mondeo callipers are the same.

you need to drill the hub hole out to take the larger bolt for the calliper, and shave a bit off the top and bottom edges of the callipers with a grinder, but its nothing to worry about.

awesome setup for the cash.

as for the rears, yes you can use the st170 setup. i done a fitting guide a few years back in ff mag on a mk5 fez, but the puma uses the same beam etc.

need hubs, discs, callipers and handbrake cable iirc

i been told that the rear conversion makes the rear 11mm wider on each side, so i may just stick to drums even tho discs look better

i dont think you will have any issues with spacing the rear wheels out 11m each side mate, will fill the arches a lot better lol

I used st150 fiesta calipers and discs with brembo pads
More than enough for a puma IMO
