Default REALISTIC values of 4x4 Cossie running gear.

Now,looking at my saph the other day I think it's gonna need a new roof as this last winters caused it to bubble up bad.
There's still welding to be done and lots of general jobs on it.
My dilemma is to break it,but I'd need a really good idea of what a rebuilt 4x4 motors worth with a great box/drivetrain etc as that's obviously the most valuable part,if the figures seem good or there's interest then I'll of course start a full thread off.
Otherwise I'm sorely tempted on a reshell if I can't get a decent price and can get a decent shell as IMO once a ford starts rusting it pretty much never stops!!!
Shame as it was painted 2 years ago and although the roof was a bit poor then I ground back all the rust, treated it and it seemed good but I think leaving it outside has done it no favours.

reshell.

A good engine is worth loads to you compared to buying another cossie later on which could be a lemon.

Well I think that's perhaps the best option as the saph shells seem totally worthless without the running gear.

It's quite a rare colour but if I'm honest it's not my favourite and I'm really feeling a White one in frozen White could be the way forward.

Its just the usual "I'll never finish my car so get rid blues".

if the panels are in good nick and its rust issues id say reshell

unpick the quarters , wings crossmember ect - anything thats a1 metal

the floorpan would make a few quid as seems to be plenty of coonversionbs been taken on so if the majority of it solid im sure someone woud have it ,

and all gen panels are going to fetch money , esp quarters wings ect
