Default Powdercoat or paint ?????

Have people had any issues when powdercoating alloy wheels ?

I had a set of tsw evo's done in satin black when i was 17 and i can remember there was signs of heavy blasting when i got them back now i know the tsw's would probably be softer than my comps but will it ruin the surface finish of the alloy??

My mate has a friend who run's a wheel reconditioning business but as im having satin black again i dont see much point in having them painted?? Now he's advised that they shouldn't be powdercoated but i guess thats in his intrests.......

Can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks

Chris

Sounds like your last wheels was blasted with to heavier media... I've had no dramas with wheels powder coated IMO

ive had wheels and other parts powdercoated with no problems the only issue i think is powdercoat is harder to patch up if scuffed than paint..
