Default puma advice

im thinking of trading in my focus for a puma as im a little bored with the focus and i cant be bothered to drop a new engine in and the puma should be a little more fun round the doors, so whats the best mods to get a little more power out of them and is the any seats that fit from other fords as the interior is a bit naff, cheers for any advice
oh and whats the standard mpg on the puma just so i know the average when i get one to make sure its running ok

Not really many cheap mods. Really looking at nos, itbs or charging to get real power. Popular seat mod is fiesta rs turbo recaros with fiesta 3.5 runners.

Best mods on a puma are lower it a bit and a strut brace and bigger brakes, and then go for the performance things like exhaust and things like that as they are suprisingly quick standard for what they are.
Economy wise it depends on how you drive it really if you drive them, I can get easily get 150 miles to Ł30 if I drive around semi sensibly but if you gun it everywhere it drops down to about 115 so still not to bad, for the fun you have.

i get the same mileage from my focus with it been a 1.4 it struggles from the lights have to work it quite hard, ive seen a thread on the mondeo calipers and st170 discs. what about wheels are you better off with standard wheels or will lightweight 16's be better, 17's look a little to big for the car in my opinion

16s give the best compromise for looks and performance. 15s are what Ford intended though. Some brake conversions require 16s.
Project Puma is a great forum to answer your questions, just have a good search on there.

definately wouldn't advise 17s mate, lowered 35-40 mm on 15s is best, or 16s if you want to do the brake conversion without any hassle
