Taking the old boy 1989 Escort RST to Nurburgring on Wednesday 15th February @ 3am going to be a laugh and hopefully the ring will be open when I get there Wednesday afternoon. If anybody's crusing my way give me a beep and join with me for the journey.

Have you actually checked to see if its open???

 

For the final word on whether the track is open, you can also call the office on +49 2691 302 630, although don't expect them to speak English.

Its been like that for a couple of weeks,sub zero then more snow today,would need to warm up quickly and soon for it to be open.

Do you have winter tyres fitted? its illegal not to have them during winter in germany.

 

Would love to take my Series 2 there. Not in that weather tho! Lol

Only if you've a accident in winter conditions without winter tyres the insurance company holds you responsible even if you're not at fault, so it's wise to have them on but not illegal not to

Won't be driving on the track = snow not thawed out in Germany yet.

 

don't forget that the 'Ring and Spa are in the Eifel Mountains - not the Eifel Hills, Mountains, be prepared for bad weather and road conditions.

I've had a great time and plenty of fun in the snow. I have my S2 booted with Yoko AD08's which add to the fun
