Any motor factors will have 097 batteries in stock.
I dont think the retailers (halfords, A! etc) bother keeping them in anymore and will try and sell you an 096 with some gay looking adaptors

FPS keep them but will only(should) sell to other factors / suppliers. If you fancy a jaunt to Birkenhead I've got them on the shelf at work!

Was having this discussion with my Dad the other day, I think very shortly they will be totally extinct!
I think if you look hard enough you may find one, other than that it may be easier to get "Round terminal" converters.
I got my original type not so long back from a local motor factors.

I had this problem so just changed the terminals on the S1 to round ones. Far less fucking around.

most factors can get em but charge atleast £20 for the privelege of having square terminals
you may find emptying the old acid and pouring in more new stuff will bring it back to life
ive done it before but i burnt holes in my old tshirts and jeans when i did it

You want distilled / deionised water.
You put that in then charge it, it then become acidic
