did all S2 come with MFI or some of both??? how can ya tell which one uve got???? mines a 1990 S2 so not sure.

im 99% all s2 came with mfi, easy to tell it will say efi on the throttle body/inlet, and mfi will have plastic airbox on top of the metering unit where all the red fuel lines go into.

But it could have a fiesta turbo lump in it, they were all efi, or you could have a efi conversion which is quite popular nowadays

grey S2 looks standard from outside and its got few mods on it under the bonnet ive only had it 2 months. i bought it off a guy whos username is edd of of here.

 

only just got mine back on the road last week after a rebuild, you can get a bit of chatter with mfi if you take the dump valve off, it varies from car to car, some are louder than others.

 

All Escort RSTs were MFI. Only EFI RSTs were the Fiestas.
