Hi just thinking of putting some of the mondeo 16 inch alloys on my fiesta rst and wondering what tyres to put on them. I was going to put 195 40 16 proxy's on but have been offered them cheaper in 45 profile. Will these catch as i want the car to have a good stance on it's coilovers. Also I take it I need 5mm spacers on the rear. Advice and thoughts would be good, thanks

 

195/45 should be fine fella, i run them on my 16" oz super tourismos. and got coilovers as suspension.

i have also run 195/40 on my old fiesta with fox evo 3's in 16's.

no catching anywhere!

Im currently running 205/45/16 on my fez and I have got to raise the rear coilovers to stop the slight catching

 

thanks, for the replies. Just got a quote for x4 toyo proxy t1r's for 250 quid, which is cheap. But then a guy has offered me some cossie rims with newish tyres (195/40/16's) but they are quite a wide fitment. Don't know what to do as the mondeo rims need re-furbing to be A1 and will work out the same as the cossie rims. Plus i'm slightly concerned at the tyre streach.

you don't want 195 on cossie rims it's too much of a stretch being 8j wide, 205 will be fine through

on my azev a's which are 7.5j im running 205/40/16, you'll get away with a 195 on the mondeo rims as the actual wheel is so much narrower anyway i think there eirther 6 or 6.5j
