Afraid I'll be in bloody indonesia. Thats a really depressing thought....

Am up for this. The RS will probs still be in the garage though.

 

i will either go in the puma'd zetec s or the escort gti, would like to see what time i do compared to when it had the 1600 motor in it.

 

I will probably go along to this, guy I know said that a few boys from the STOC are heading through to it as well... although I agree it's a bit early for most of the bufty/old school boys to bring their pride and joy to.

Much later in the year and it would clash with one of the good shows down south so even less people would turn up.

 

But they could still squeeze it in at a better time Neil,most cars are still hibernating in March lol.

Its pretty early on tho eh? probs end up cancelled with snow or something.lol
We can but prey for a good sunny day & nice motors

 

There will probably be a few lads from Dundee heading through to this as well I'd have thought... might be worth trying to meet with guys from further North/Perth etc at the car park on the Fife side of the Tay Road Bridge??

It's pretty big and easy to find, will be enough space for quite a few people to meet up.

As long as the weather isnt brutal there will still be a good turn out, if I mind right it was pretty busy last year.

Tay bridge is a bit out the way for me but but im sure there will be a fair few coming from our end and through the west etc. The car park your on about Grant would be idle for future meets for guys from all areas

 

This show gets earlier in the year from one year to the next, is it sat the 3rd? not the Sunday, I'm off that weekend anyway so will prob take the focus up as the orion will not be taxed.

 

The 4 hour drive puts me off!

 

Was informed today when I went for some parts that Performance Ford is on the 4th and its a Sunday. I checked the website again today and it is the 4th? they must have fucked up the dates on the site earlier on in the year

Just thought i'd let everyone know incase they turn up to Fifes biggest outdoor car boot sale on the Saturday and I get slated for it lol!

Not sure I'll make it now TBH, going to be in Glasgow on the 3rd, so how early I'll be coming back to the east side depends on how heavy a night it is.

To early in the year as most cars still tucked up,not taxing mine till april for the run down to central day,you would think after so many years of the ford day at crail having poor attendance they would have moved its date

It is a shite date Stu but it is a day out for most, are you coming along minus the Escos? I reckon if the weather is kind it should be a good day? Look at Knockhill RSOC last July the weather was gash and it wasnt the busiest day in the world but it was still a guid day. If everyone was to fire up to Crail with or without their prized RS it would still be a day out and a bit banter.

Dont get me wrong if its pishing down and blowing a gail al not be going, but if its nice al be going up for the day just for the simple fact we dont get many days of Ford dedicated shows up here so we best make the most of them.

 

Just a update on the confusion dates etc.
It is on sat and sunday. 3rd and 4th.

04 March 2012 - Performance Ford We have the guys from Performance Ford back in action today at Crail, they will be looking over all the car to pick the best in the Show'n'shine. We will the 1/4 Mile and drift track open as usual for everyone with special classes for the Ford guys.

 

Im heading up to this also. See what like a 1/4mile wheelspin does!

 

Bit off topic but anyone doing a stand for the ford day at knockhill this year?

 

Thats the Sierra sorted for tomorrow, but al only be going up if its not pishing down.

Anyone else heading up from my neck of the woods?

 

Al be up for arranging a PF stand for the troops WullieXR4i is selling up and he hasnt been on here for a while either so I dont think he'll be wanting to do it this year.

Its ment to rain till about 1pm tomorrow so al prob not head up till around 12ish but al be knocking about mate.
