Default Gearing the bike...oh dear

LOL

Was after new sprockets for the turbo'd Katana but the tallest gearing available off the shelf gives me nearly 199 mph at the limiter

Trouble is that with around 250 to 300 BHP at the rearwheel it would easily slam into said limiter...and it would still be trying to spit me off at silly speeds!!!

Custom made sprocket ? Look at the size used for stunters surely someone could knock you some up

Dependant on engine spec, could you not raise the rev limit? Just a thought...

Surely getting a rear sprocket with less teeth is easy ? Or front with more teeth ?

I'm running 17" front and rear, larger rearwheel isn't an option because tyresize limits wheelchoice.

Most stunters I know use ally sprockets, not such a good idea when running between 250 and 300 HP at the wheel I don't think...

The tallest gearing that is available of the shelf gives the 199 at the limiter, and that is with the smallest front and rear combo for this bike.

Í'd have to look into some custom dragrace items I think...?

raising the revlimit isn't really an option, it's a high as it'll go on this spec

It's a 1206 cc oilcooled four, tough as nails but quite oldschool!

Surely a custom sprocket made from a suitable hard material should be easy enough made these days ?

Bound to be places that would be a simple task ?
