I bought a basic kit with a small plastic tube and one way valve to bleed my brakes on my MKIV fiesta and now I have no brakes at all is this normal will this correct itself after the rears have also been done, or has something gone wrong?

youve done it wrong, you shoudnt make it WORSE.

those 1 way valve things are crap youve probably just not bled them properly and let a load of air in. find a friend to do it with you or buy an ezibleed

sounds like something has gone wrong

you should start with the rears first, starting from the furthest away from the brake fluid reservoir

OK acording to the Haynes manual it said start at the left front. I managed to get the brakes working again with the help of an assistant, but they feel no better than before. I couldn't do the rears.

why cant you do the rears?

there might be only one at the rear and it will be at the top of the wheel rather than the bottom

rears will not make much difference as around 70% is applied to the front

if the old brake fluid is rotten it may take a while to bleed it all through until the new fluid has filled up the brake pipe, you should notice a difference in the colour for one
