The early ones are great looking.

Not that keen on the 80's and 90's ones.

The new ones were quite winning me over, obviously too late to convince me to buy one

Real shame to see such a unique collection broken up, hope the same never happens to the ford and vauxhall ones!

They stopped being really interesting when GM took over I reckon, was out of the hands of the engineers and into the hands of the accountants at that point!

The best ones were the old two strokes when they first started rallying.

Well, you say that, but actually, Saab was reasonable for a lot of innovations or made a lot of things standard on their cars that are now common on every car made today.

They were the first to fit seatbelts as standard in 1958, other manufactures didn't catch up until a lot later!

In the 70's They were the first to fit headlamp washer/wipers, heated seats, turbo wastegates, pollen filters, and the first turbo control systems (knock sensors ect).

In the 80's they were the first to introduce asbestos free brakes, 16 valve turbo engines, and direct ignition systems.

So while their cars were never anything amazing, they added a lot to the industry.
