Default This car just never seems water tight!

Ive had no end of trouble keeping water out but always seems to find a way in!

Cars an mk4 xr3i cab and so far ive had water coming through

Back lights, had to silicone up
Rear bumper, had to also silicone up
Battery tray (was rotten, now repaired)
Fusebox, silicone did the trick here as it was coming through the hole

I now have it coming in at the door seals i think. Just noticed it on the drivers side. Was thinking of taking the insulation out and not bothering with it, anyone else do this?

Just don't want the floor going as its as clean as anything inside at the moment!

Mine started to get a slightly damp floor once. Turned out to be a little bit of rot where the footwell met the wing/door hinges.
Just wip the carpet up and have a look.

poorly fitted roofs leake every where

when teh doors are shut the glass should sit under the seal

water can get in thru the sills if the drains are blocked but water gets in

to fix it for sure take the seats out take the carpet and the insulation out and dust over it with talc and wait til it rains to see where it comes thru

could be rubbers, floor seams or rot, bulk head gromets, 1/4 windows
many many things
