Default Damn it was cold workin on the car today!

I was in the garage from 12-5:30 and my god it was freezin!

Ive got a concrete prefab garage with an asbestos roof and i swear its colder in there than outside sometimes lol.

I got some work done, but not as much as i wanted to.

I would get so much more done in a decent garage

Get a space heater. You wont regret it!

I had to work outside today though, we had a car in that was in bits waiting on parts.
With the doors closed and the heater on its warm enough for just a T-shirt

Although that would be true on a warm sunny sunday, or in a nicely lit warm garage with proper tools, in reality on a freeeeeezin cold day in dim light with halfrauds tools, its not that fun lmao.

Im not looking forward to going back in the garage tonight. Wont start on it till 6pm tonight. I got 1 job i need to do then its back in the warm.

And i like the cold weather lol.

Very true. have tried lots in the past actually. Rentons a fully qualified mechanic and very patient and a good teacher. Sadly even he gave up! I am just VERY cack handed, clumsy and can round off a nut just by looking at one!

Its very fustrating! I changed a tyre recently on a mountain bike and NO ONE could believe it! thats the level I am at!

Well i was out there from 5pm till 11pm last night and damn it was horribel.
Especially when 1 of the hose joiners failed and leaked 5l of fresh coolant into my garage floor, and me
I had to get under to see what was goin on, then had to take the joiner off and repair it, this mean antifreeze all on the carpeted floor, me, my jumper, hat....
That didnt put me in a good mood! Lol

I did get everything i wanted done tho
Cars almost back together ready for a test drive, just waitin of a few parts and a but to fix my air compressor so i can do a boost circuit test and im done !!!

Kind of worth it lol.

I work in the engine room of a ship. +45 degrees on a good day. Now THATS a pain in the arse. The smallest job requires you to drink 2 or 3 ltrs of water to replace the sweat I'd swap and work in a cold garage any day
