I was wondering if anyone new of a way to improve the performance output of the 1.6 engine found in the car. I am only looking for a small change 5 to 10 bhp and a extra bit of torque just to give the car a bit of extra get up and go due to its lacklustre performance in its current state any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Waste of time, the engines are fairly torqueless anyway. Useless low in the revs anyway.
You will happily improve the power up top but it's hard work trying to give it any more low down torque.

 

Would this improve fuel usage at motorway speeds at all because I may find myself starting to do a few more of these journeys
