Default Ctek battery conditioner hard wire?

Hi just got a ctek 3600 for the sapp and it comes with a hard wire lead that bolts on battery so you can connect conditioner without the need of crocodile clips, this lead is only 40 cm and I want to extend it and run it under wing to front of car so the plug is just under bumper or number plate to save the need of opening bonnet all the time, anyone done this?

easy enough to do, but personally i'd be running an extra fused lead to the battery and then fixing the proper lead to where i need to connect it

I bought a ctek adapter that plugs into the cigar lighter. It only works if the cig lighter is permanently on, but the one in my Sierra is.

This is the thing I bought - can't remember where I got mine from but the price was probably about the same.

I thought the CTEK indicator lights would show the circuit wasn't charging? Could be the battery is goosed and it's trying the recycle mode? Seem to recall that can take many hours to complete.

Failing that, and if the fuse looks ok, use the croc clips or eyelets that come with the CTEK for the battery connection for now.

That way you'll know the battery is being charged overnight, and tomorrow you can try the cig lighter - if it heats up, your socket must be ok. If it doesn't you have some investigating to do.

Also, did you select the condition or charge mode on the CTEK?

I'm not sure what would happen if you left it on supply or in an error mode.
