The misses got an ipad2 just before Xmas, we got a back case and a little sleeve type case to put it in when it's not in use.
There's lots of videos on YouTube of tutorials showing how it's done on a iPhone and iPad, could watch some and decide there, it won't be ipad2 on 5.0.1 but on older software, the process will be the same
Downloaded some apps for it then? pretty swish isnt it
The misses downloaded this free app called 12 days of christmas(something like that) and they give you a free paid app everyday. Its been quite good so far, had top gear dvd/film yesterday, today it was some kind of book

I just keep checking back on here

It's going to be soon. Follow @pod2g on twitter. He is just finishing up the untethered jailbreak.
The best app I have downloaded up to now is air player.
You can stream your music/films off your main pc anywhere. Don't have to take any space up on the iPad. As long as there is a wifi connection it's happy days

Also, lists of apps would be endless. I've got some cheap photo editing apps, news apps and loads of games.
Other than that, it's just something to pick up and browse the net with, without having to load up a laptop/pc.
Got to say angrybirds havent i?
it is good though especially on the big/clear ipad screen.
Fruit ninja, real racing 2, grand theft auto 3(very good, just like playing the original on ps2), if your into snooker ronnie o sullivans snooker(the best snooker app)
To name a few off the top of my head
EDITED to add you can also get for free ITV player, 4OD, 5OD etc etc, so can watch some tv on there aswell

appshopper, you can see the price history of paid apps, then add them to your wish list, when they change in price, Sometimes go free for a few days, you get an alert.
sonic racing is free today!
Opera mini - web brouser, better than the safari one IMO
or Dolphion HD - another web brouser
sky go
tv guide
tunein radio

All jailbreaks are now traceable via apple stores
when and if they plug your iDevice in for diagnostics it will give them a full log off all events, including jailbreaking.
If you device is new and in warranty don't jailbreak
my iPad has now just turned a yr old and is jailbroken, but my 4s is just as apple intended (abet it's going back for the 3rd time as it constantly crashing)

I work in IT Support and I get asked this question every so often. I'll say the same thing here as I do at work, and at home:
Jailbreaking your iOS device is like running a cracked/hacked copy of Windows on your PC. It may leave you thinking you were clever for doing it, but, it leaves you at the mercy of the person/group that did the hacking. You don't know what backdoors they've left open, and never will. It's like giving a complete stranger a key to your house and car, and expecting either of them to be completely secure.
If you're desperate to try it, do it at your own risk, and don't keep any information in there, such as your iTunes account, birthdays, addresses, names or phone numbers. But as some wise souls already pointed out, it'll invalidate your warranty if you have one, and you'll gain very little in real terms.

First time I've ever heard someone say its traceable even after a full restore
Because there are some things it won't tell you about, because as an end user, you shouldn't need to know about them.
