tripometer display on the dash is on constantly

tripometer display on the dash is on constantly

after leaving her locked for a good few hours, and I noticed the tripometer/mileage display is still glowing green

My 2003 focus does the same. aparently its when a fault acours in the cluster. i was told this by ford you can either change them, repair them or do my option just leave it be lol hope this helps
