As title I heed some help or info on how to sort out my sons iPod it's a iPod touch 32gb latest edition etc and I recently updated then software through I tunes I backed it up first updated it then restored it but it has lost some apps which isnt a great deal but he has about 100 songs that won't play anymore ??? They are all there with all the info etc but when you try and play them nothing happens ??? Any help would be great guys as he is gutted bless him and I'm racking my brains lol!!!

when you plug the ipod in the pc don't sync it you will lose any new apps that have dowloaded, instead go to transfer purchases and that will put all his new apps over to the computer, as for the music, it has to be stored locally to the computer your syncing it to, so if they are 100's of mp3's they need to be on your computer for the sync to work for music.

every song and game etc has been purchased through i tunes etc and stored there to I've not transferred purchases though ?? I used to automatically sync don't anymore as a friend said not to ?? Perhaps cos I didn't transfer them that's why they don't work ?? But strange as I did back it up first and like I say they are all still there but just won't all play. Technology!!!!!!

 

as said you need to "transfer purchases", this is probably why everything is lost/doesnt work, give it a go.

Itunes is a nightmare, everyone needs a masterclass on it before you know how to use it properly
