Got my MoT due 1st week of Jan, my drivers side seatbelt is very frayed, a fail I believe??

Is the seat belt the same as a 4 door/saph??

Does anyone have a very cheap spare seat belt I could buy preferably near Birmingham so I could collect to save the postage, pleeeeease.

 

Not sure as they may have been differences between MK1 and MK2.

In which case any from a MK1 model should fit in theory?

Unfortunatley the front seat belts are different on 3 Doors as they attach to a rail at the bottom so you can slide the seat belt out the way when letting people into the back.

I ended up taking mine apart and repairing the ratchet on mine when it just locked up all the time as I couldn't get a replacement.

Might be worth tring some of the breakers see if they have any but if you need it in a rush you could try local scrap yards for a 3 door sierra but they are probably rarer than 3 Door Cosworths.

All the seat belts in my 3dr are out of a old fiesta

 

As said MK2 Fiestas have the rail as well.

many thanks, will have a scout on ebay then for fiesta belts, possibly cheaper than paying 3dr tax.

 

i have a full set in my garage and might have set off my white 3dr.

 

How much would you want mate and where are you??
