Default MK1 Escort pics

Its the time of year where all the Cossies are off the road, but the Escort being tax exempt is taxed all year round.
So weather wasnt too bad the other day so thought time for a quick drive and some piccys.

The car started off as a 1300, it was bought by my wife as a wedding present.
My mate sourced the car and put the stripes onto it.
It originally had steel wheels, but I sourced some RS4s, added the bucket seats, front quarters and the 2 up 2 down lights.
All was well until this summer when the engine decided to drop a piston, oops.
Finally sourced a 1760 (rebuilt etc) crossflow, which was then installed.
And this is how we are today with the car.
I know its only a replica, and would also like to change to round headlights, but time will tell

Did a bit of work on the Escort today.
Decided the interior was letting it down.
Just so happens I had these spare in the garage, so thought why not.
Bit of cutting and a few brackets later.
Never seen a Sapphire Cossie interior in one before, done the same with my 3 Door Cossie years ago.
Hope everyone likes.
