Mk3 LX TDCi heating/cooling problem?
Hi, I've noticed a number of strange things going on with the heating and engine cooling on my Mondeo in the last couple of days.
First thing I noticed was the engine fan staying on for a long time after running, even on a very cold day. I've never noticed this before except on very hot days.
Second up, the interior heating doesn't seem to be working. Even set on the hottest setting it produces only cold air.
Finally while driving on the motorway I noticed the temperature guage was higher than normal. Reading about 3/4 of the way up where normally it never passes 1/2. Again this was on a cold day so quite surprising.
Do people reckon these are all related? Seems to me like something wrong in the coolant circulation but I'm far from an expert on this stuff.
Any ideas about what's likely wrong would be most appreciated.
