Default FORD ESCORT RS2000 4x4 RED

right gutted to do this but ive got to sell my rs2k before ive even really had time to enjoy as i need to buy a van for work

not sure what to ask for it, but it needs to go A.S.A.P to free up some cash!

i dont want to go overboard on trying to sell it...i wont say its mint....cos it aint... at the end of the day its a 15 year old Escort!!!!

but by no means it aint a pig...it still has original arches and i would say minimal rust that a mk6 escort can have!! TBH i havent seen many escorts as clean!!

the interior is very tidy (dont like to use this word but near mint) and obviously recaro's, bodywork is pretty much spot on, only minor blemish here and there not noticed anything that is eye-catching!!

the car is completely standard, as in the right wheels, exhaust, air filter etc....

it had all new oil in the gearbox, transfer box, engine, diff, new plugs and filter 3 weeks ago!!

i would say if your interested, please come and view and then you can make up your mind yourself!!!

i will try to add pics tomorrow as cant get them on at the minute!!

cheers Dan

You paid £1380 for it and now want offers around £1600 cos you've changed the oil and 3 plugs?!

Fair enough mate but cant see many people offering anything over what you paid for it & why only change 3 plugs?!

where does it say i changed three plugs??

totally irrelevant what i paid for it anyway...

and it actually stands me in more than that because ive had another engine in it aswell...

so adding up what i paid for the car £1380 + £100 quid for oils and service bits + £200 for another engine + £250 to fit it + tax etc... so i make that closer to 2 grand!

also being a car that i assume should only go up in value because of it being rare now and not many left in a roadworthy condition.... dont see what the problem is with me asking whatever i want for it...doesnt necessarily mean that will be the actual price it sells for...

and if you would like to take the time to do a full HPi check as i did before i bought it insurers and book price sits at £2800...

sorry to sound shitty but if you aint interested and watched it go before for however much why take the time to put a negative comment about it on here??

Who cares what he paid for it?
How do you think garages make a living?
Anyway,I think looking at the numberplates they say towy ford or something?it gets a bit pixelated on my phone by then but if so their the original plates from Towy Ford in Carmarthen as EP on the plate is a Swansea registered car but a lot of west Wales cars got DE or EP dependant on which dealership registered it.
Just proves it's not been really badly mangled over the years.

just to let everyone know it is still for sale, its not been messed around with and is still standard....

some twat has put a hole in the back bumper...no structural damage just looks as if its had pressure on the plastic and cracked and made a hole..maybe brittle...looking out for a new bumper!!

noticed it hunts for about 20 seconds when started up from cold after that settles to constant idle, been told possibly the idle speed control valve... can be cleaned or bought for peanuts!!

also will be replacing brakes in the next 2 weeks and also lower arms, track rod ends etc and will be tracked as inner bush one side has started to go so car can decide to float a little if goes near a big pothole!!

finally will probably put another tyre on it to match the other three avon zv-3's!! nothing wrong with the other tyre just want them all matching!!

so if anyones interested please get in touch

Cheers

I sold my 4x4 last week and it went for good money, over £3K in fact so its worth putting some effort in as the rewards will be greater, GLWS
