I am on the lookout for one of these as a daily drive but just wondering if anyone on here has ever owned one and could tell me what there like to live with and what to look for when buying one

I had one a while ago. As said above, they can be juicey, but to be expected for a big car with a turbo lump in it.
Mileage isn't a problem for them, just make sure it's been well looked after. I have seen them do head gaskets, but they're a pretty tough old engine really.
Mine was great, went like a mad thing and sounded ace with it. Performance bargain at the moment, and usually pretty well equiped to boot.

I had a T5 estate, good old barges but not much fun to drive, fast and capable and tough as old boots but a bit dull/vague to drive.
And often used to see 15-20 mpg on the trip computer without really trying.
