I've been offered a mint s plate Talbot sunbeam rolling shell so I was thinking about making it cossy powered as I have a full sapphire 2wd sitting in my yard. I bought a full moonstone 3 door replica with xr41 running gear on it a couple of months ago and had planned putting the cossy into that but iam torn now. Iam thinking about this Talbot more and more but can't seem to find out much info or people doing them. I do think they look awesome though and can only imagine how much fun one would be especially as the guy told me they weigh the same as a micra. The guy who has offered me it has had it since 1989 totally stripped out and painted in White it's also caged.
Whats people thinking??
If I do take this I'll most probably be selling the 3 door replica to fund it.

aren't sunbeams 4 linked as standard with 2 upper a-arms ant 2 bootm trailing arms carrying the spring running similar setup to mk3 cortinas much better than mk2 escort setup. no need over do it beefing up axle and stuuf if it standard cossie engine due to light weight
Sounds like it could be my old sunbeam ti which I sold in Scotland in 1988, built for road saloons series but never got finished and I swapped it for a rally fiesta, do you have any photos?
