Sierra V6 4x4 to Cosworth 2wd
Engine and gearbox first of all,
a bigger diff as the 2wd drive one is bigger and the rear beam to go with it.
the front crossmember is different aswell
would it just be better to buy a 2wd cosworth ?

front crossmember needs to be changed, possibly the arbs as well.
engine, box, diff, beam, ecu and engine loom.
not sure on fuel tank or lines but if you already have an external fuel pump setup, you should be fine.

you need to change engine, gearbox, prop shaft, steering rack, front sub frame, exhaust or modifiy old1, ecu, wiring loom, gearbox craddle, engine mounts, front hubs, front suspension, 4x4 cossie calipers will fit but only if you use 2wd discs and 4x4 pads, 4x4antiroll bar is slightly longer so change that too, the engine mount brakets are differant too, starter motoe differant an splash plate between engine an box, you dnt need too change petrol tank/lines oreven your diff, 4x4 has smaller diff but dnt need to be change as 2wd prop will still fit, if you do change your diff then ur need to change rear drive shafts too, ur also need intercooler etc you best bet is to find a rotten 2wd cossie or a writen off 1 an swap everything over, guna be hard tho as things like that get striped as worth more money in parts as you prob know and for the bits you need are guna cost you a far bit if brought seperatly off loads of differant sellers. maybe every1 else is right tho just get a 2wd cossie be hell of a lot easier
