I'm 21 and u grew up getting driven around in a Sierra Minker K1! My mum drove this for a few years while I was really young, the car she had was the first of I believe 8?it was red and there is a picture of it on google! I just wanted to learn more about the car and wondered if anyone else knew anything?
I know the car has been stuck in a blokes garage since he bought it from my mum in around 1998!
Cheers fellas, I'll see if she has any pictures i cried when she got rid of that car amazingly fast but struggled to hold charge in the battery that's y she got rid
Yorevol
It hasn't been on the road for about ten years he's had it re sprayed since that picture! Like I said very rare only 8 where ever made by tt n the first one is still in dewsbury
Thanks for all the comments I think I'm gonna try buy it back, will go to my parents next week n try dig some pics out to post on here, they have to be possibly the rarest car ive heard of

i remember a work mate taking me out in one a few years back.im sure it was like a gunmetal grey with small badge on back n wings saying minker.thing was torquey as hell
i've sat in a blue xr4x4 minker k1,not to sure on the bodykit but each to there own i suppose.there is a white k1 somewhere, there is a white xr4x4 minker323 for sale, its the same but without the bodykit, bit more of a sleeper. 323bhp and 345 ftlbs of torque.im defo a big fan of the twin turbo v6 cologne.my xr has surprised a few cars for sure.they are like driving a turbo diesel as the diffs are 3.14 ratio and all the power buggers off after 5k! but you do shift along for sure.
Did the red k1 have the lovely "uprated" interior aswell?
We've seen a few of these, and actually built one from scratch using the last of the parts they had. I have a few bits left, including the original air boxes and exhaust parts.
I know where there is one for sale. It's a proper Minker 323, a black one, with the high ratio diffs, 170 mph on a good day!

I run the 3.14 diffs, they came from an estate i aquired then broke, you built it years ago,the engine then went into another sierra, that went pop, then the minker zytek ecu ended up in another car.bits get around all over the place.

Those were the last diffs available, the customer bought them from TT himself. The Zytec was specially made for that car, and was a right faff as the parts were hard to find, never mind the little man in the forest clearing who built it. TT had a singular approach to electronics in those days!
The black Minker belongs to a customer of mine called Simon. His other car is a Lotus Carlton, so you can tell the sort of car he's into.
