Well, my arm/tattoo is. a few of you will know im a big rap fan, have been my whole life. there isnt many british rappers i listen to, but there is one im a big fan of, goes by the name og Bigz, have been a fan since his first track came out in 2005. over the last few years ive built on 'online relationship' with him, through twitter, his website etc, and speak to him pretty much everyday online,even spoke to him on the phone a couple of times.

i got some of his song lyrics tattoo'd on my arm, 'Throught The Pain And The Glory, I Made Me A Story', i thought as a metaphore, it applies to every human being, we all go through good times and bad times, and we all have a story to tell, whether big or small.

When i got the tattoo done, i sent bigz the picture, and he was actually overwhelmed, said it really meant a lot to him, changed his twitter picture, and his face book fan page, to the picture of my arm, and is still using it actually.

i got a message from him this morning, said 'ive got a surprise for you tonight, im releasing my new music video' i sent one back saying ' do tell', he said 'no, wait till tonight'.

now i understand it might not mean a lot to most people, as there isnt a lot of rap fans, and most people will not like his music, but it means a lot to me, because as i said, am a fan of his music, and from speaking to him for the last couple of years, he is a really humble, freindly, approachable dude, and down to earth dude.

I quite liked that.I have an album by flow radical from brum.Mates of a mate.Some good tunes.Cant find em on you tube but they have some stuff on my space.Only four songs though cant remember the album name.Was 06.

There's a few decent rappers from brum mate, there has been an upsurge in birmingham last few years. one of my favorites is Malik-MD7, he is starting to build a name for himself. he has just done a track with SAS who ive been a big fan of since 2003, called 'British Accent'

 

 

Will have to catch up after the turn of the year fella, miss a bit craic on FB.

I was on the front cover of an album a few years ago. Urban beats or something. They wanted a load of cars on it and a group of us got asked so they used my truck (l200 warrior, when they were the only cool trucks around lol)

And my m3 was used in a pilot for a film (rip off of f&f) we went to the top gear test track for some drivin shots, they asked if any1 could do a donut/provide smoke, so i had to oblige didnt i lol.

 

That's pretty cool. I'm gonna have a wee listen.

Cheers matt. i spent weeks going through all his music and writing down line's. i wanted to do it as a fan, but also, wanted something that meant something to me, and to everyone, and i think it really does, wether you like rap, or music, i think it says something, and will be understood, by most people

 

No mate, always been Bigz from the get go. first track he did that got really well know was 'cor blimey' in 04/05, he followed that up with a track called 'how we do', both made it onto MTV and the big music channels, and he looked like he was really going to make tracks in the music business. then his brother tragically lost his life, then his two best freinds died, all in the space of 12 months, which really hit him hard. took him a while to come to terms with it, and he stepped away from the music for a while. but he decided to give it another shot a few years ago, and has released three indipendant mixtapes, that all have got rave reviews, and he is currently recording his first proper studio album, that will be out next year.



This was the first track he released commercially, 'cor blimey', bit corny if your not a rap fan, but it was 6 years ago, and he was only in his early 20's.

He released a track earlier this year called 'i just want the paper', it did big things,the video was picked up by Channel AKA, was one of the top video's on there, so It was then picked up by MTV, and was on MTV regular for a couple of months, and last time i checked chopper, MTV had a couple more than 'hundreds' of viewers
