Default Alternatives to a SECS monitor for a Cossie?

As title really, i've got a Secs monitor in my Sapph at the mo, and although i find it really useful, it's a bit pointless when it comes to measuring boost because the moment it sees over 2 bar it flashes up a warning

Are there any alternative monitors out there that you'd recommend??

It would have to be a simila size/fit in the same place as the SECS monitor because i dont want something that looks out of place.

Cheers, Karl

There's even a fit guide in this issue of Fast Ford!

Ok, cheers fellas, @ R4N SS, I've got a 2.5 bar boost gauge fitted already, albeit a Racetech one that I'm gonna change for one with peak recall, my problem isn't that the arcs monitor only seems to measure up to 2 bar, its that it flashes up a warning every time it sees that level of boost, I'd be happy if it didn't monitor boost at all tbh lol, I've got someone interested in buying my secs monitor if I can find a suitable replacement, does the IECS monitor read over 2 bar or is it restricted by the map sensor? I assume a 3 bar map sensor only measures up to 2 bar positive boost?

I was going to start a thread about the IECS, so far as I can tell this is just a copy of the SECS monitor as far as I can see and does EXACTLY the same job?

PS I have just watched the presentation video and it looks like the IECS can have no higher than a 3 BAR MAP sensor as well.

It looks as if it has slightly more functionality than SECS.

it's nothing like the SECS monitor as it works from a datastream from the ecu (like pectel monitors of old) not taking a parallel reading from the engine's sensors which may not be what the ecu is actually seeing

But how comes the connections are merely soldered onto the respective pins though akin to SECS?

Plus would that mean then having a datastream enabled chip would be a prerequisite for having one?

The IECs is also to an extent programmable for certain features eg alarms, shift lights, water injection control etc.

Also the firmware can be upgraded to accept different sensors, wasted spark etc. There have already been firmware revisions to improve it, so id expect there to be more in the future too.

It's still using the same basic setup that SECS uses, i.e. merely a voltmeter measuring sensor values.

The collins monitor is totally different and superior in the fact that it's a data stream from the ECU so not only can you see what the ECU is seeing but also has features such as being able to see ignition timing values etc.

Just find it weird how people rave about the IECS like it's some mind blowing invention lol, SECS has the alarm features as well.
