Tyre rotation

I'm out on track tomorrow at brands but don't know what is better for my fiesta. My front tyres have 4mm left, rears 8mm. Am I better swapping them round or leaving as they are?

Modern advice is to have the best tyres on the back, specifically to avoid oversteer in the wet.

Whilst that might be the advice for Joe bloggs on the road, he's going on track - in a FWD car. Already the tendancy will be understeer, so the crappy tires on the front will make it even worse.

Interested to hear more opinions...
