saab 2.3t aero swap into focus mk1
hi guys,
im new on here,
just looking for some advice on an engine swap i have in mind for my mk1 focus. what i plan on doing is sticking the 2.3t saab aero engine in.i have the saab already so shouldnt cost much..apart from standalone ecu and other ancillaries. has anyone done this? anyone know if it will be possible??? help would be greatly appreciated!

Anything is possible, depends how much money you have or how handy you are with a welder.
I'd look at building a Zetec turbo for amount of time, money and effort involved though!

insure it as the standard 1.6 focus? is that illegal, not declaring the engine change? but yeah it should fit and work in theory, i took some rough measurements n all seems okay, but yeah i dont want to through away money if it aint worth it..

will it fit, yes, but will need a gearbox adaptor making like mtech have done but for FWD.
or custom shafts, mounts and selector from the saab.
not much gain, for little money a zetec can be turbo'd and produce well over 300bhp and over 400bhp for a bit more including forged pistons and rods.
