So it would be a good upgrade to fit to my blacktop ?

And are the exhaust ports and stud patterns the same as a 2.0 zetec ?
Cheers

The whole RS engine is the same as a standard black top, the only differences are pistons, rods, cams and exhaust valves. The parts that bolt around it are different but share the same bolt patterns.

If it is going to be used on an N/A blacktop I wouldn't have thought that the cams would be optimal for N/A use.

Indeed, I would expect them to be milder, and for the N/A ones to be a good upgrade on the turbo motor if anything.

Thanks for the info guys.
I've bought a complete frs engine tonight.
I'm a bit worried that the bell housing bolts look to be different to my zetec bottom end.
Anyone know for sure if my s2 rst gearbox will fit ok ?

you can use an escort rs turbo gearbox, but need to change flywheel to an 1800 one and make sure cps sits properly as that may also need changing along with the holder.
most the fwd ford gearboxes since 1980 interchange upto the duratec or any non ford developed engine (yamaha, duratec etc)
