Default Got my evo mapped today

I wasnt happy with the way the car was driving & thought i better get it checked by russ at dalgety bay ! To say im happy now would be a understatment

It started off with 348 bhp at the wheels & 300 lfb torque it was running lean & a few errors in the map

Now its 381.6bhp atw the wheels & 349 lfb torque

I will post a pics up & graph in a bit photobucket is taking ages to load up

Car drives so much better & with it having the rs box & diffs its through the box rapid

I still need to get that silly sunstrip off & rid of they horrid mudflaps etc make it not so cheesy but im happy

Russ works quite closely with Gerry Gaffney (sp?) who is involved with mainline quite heavily I believe.

Russ is great, really easy guy to get on with and super knowledgable, especially about evos.

Impressive difference considering it wasnt just a case of whacking more boost in, shows what a decent map can do! Or more to the point what a poor one cant!

Mental how cheap these cars have become really, imagine what an escos with similar work and condition would cost!

I know mate you pay 6k for a decent 6 nowadays for another 2k ive got one with all this spec the box , transfer & rear diff would cost near 4k 2nd hand if not more ! then i have the rest not that i have any intension of bursting the car but its a safe investment i think

LOL@Lee!

Carlo I'd leave the flaps mate. An evo needs slaggy looking mud flaps

If anything I'd lose the tints.

It's total marmite but swings more to the dislike category ime. My mate bought one that was 12-18 months old at the time and I loved it. I've slowly gone off it though. However thats probably becuase my mate let his go BIG TIME. It was more faded than your average red mk4 escort and looked awful.

I like the little extras on carlos

I assume Russ is an Evo guru. I work in the the same estate at Dalgety Bay and there is a constant supply of them getting worked on every time I pass by.

Russ is one of the most helpfull people you will find. Had a good few cars mapped by him in last year and its worth the travel. Was looking at a month wait to get a car mapped up here so they lost around 5 cars and take them all to russ now with great results.

Nice car that Carlo and good results......
