got new pc todaay had a nightmare connecting it to a tv
its got a radeon 7000 series graffix card with a s video output but for the life of me cant connect it to my tv

i even spent 20 quid on the proper lead that has a svideo and a speaker jack plug that both go into a scart socket


fookin pissed reet off, can sort of now get a pic but black and white so fook it ill get a new card


can you get one that makes the output into a ariel lead?

i know they do a tv card that has a ariel socket but thats for tv in isnt it? ie so you can watch tv on ya pc

my plans are to fill the 300gb of hard drive i will have next week with downloaded films lol

but no good if cant watch em

has your tv got s-video in, if it has just use the s-video lead and separate audio leads. i think that sorted the colour issues out. seems a issue when using the scart socket

 

if u getting black and white check in your display settings for output type (it may be unbder country or something like that) but more than lickely u got it set to NTSC not PAL, if it isnt set to PAL recon that might be your problem

Oh actually just thought SVhs dont convert to well into scart (RGB) but if u look on the ATI website there is a link somewhere to a lead that does the conversion properly, so might be your lead not the card
