Default Think its a write off?

I got rear ended tonight and there is a decent amount of damage done - boot pushed in and rear door jammed against c panel/wheel arch and also drivers door.

Would I be right in thinking that if the body is twisted its gonna be a right off at this value?

Its a 2007 old style Mazda 6 worth maybe 5-6k. Sorry, no pics.

Cheers

i expect so, theres not enough money to have it pulled boot floor etc etc and if the 1/4 is al all out as i expect it is theres alot of money there

sounds like the whole of 1 side has closed up, there will be a fair bit of a whack to do that, roof panel showing creases?

I think the roof is ok as I had a roof rack on and it came off nicely. Actually, I normally put my bike in the boot, sooo glad it was on the roof this time.

Sounds like a write off......

Do you have a decent company to handle your claim, courtesy car etc?

I have used a company called Worrall Power 3 times before and they are
excellent, straight talking, quick payout etc. Keith Power; 08444 995 225.

Good luck and hope everyone is ok?

Sorry, these were the best I could get. I didn't have the keys so couldn't move it out or get inside.

The back door is wedged shut and you can see where its touching the drivers door in the last pic. There is possibly a crease at the top of the c pillar but it naturally curves there so hard to tell.

Seems like a write off to me, economic rather than what's possible. Now if it was a 3 door

The garage are actually wanting to repair it. Have to wait on the insurance authorising it as the value is borderline.

So, would this make the car a Cat D or something like that?

If it's repaired it won't be on the register, if it's written off and then repaired it will be.

typical garasges nowadays trying to get the work they underquote get thhe job then load it up once got it, hence why there is so may salvage cars for sale stripped properly as if for repair then it turns out too much

To be fair to the garage they done an excellent job the last time. A previous car I had was borderline write off at pretty much the same value. Daft repairing it as it got traded in for way less than the repair value.

Not had much luck with people running in to me.
