if I could also ask something on the same note if I may, do these bushes need pressing in, or are they fairly easy to change? Want to Poly mine.

I would imagine the alloy ones may transmit a bit more road noise?

Dunno why I put bushes in the title I meant beam mounts lol, yea I was wondering same thing bout road noise etc.
I've got all the other bushes just not the beam mounts so thought I'd get opinions on the alloy ones!!!

Did you have to press them in?

No the alloy ones don't need to be pressed in, can't comment on road noise as car not on the road yet put an uprated diff mount on as well only £120 from msd.

Standard ford ones need pressing in, poly ones are in two halves so just slot together!

Fit alloy beam mounts, retain standard Ford bushes in trailing arms and fit a good condition standard diff mount.

Do not poly bush the trailing arms.

How come mate?! I was gonna take out the standard ones from the arms before powder coating and replace with poly!!!

You not rate the poly diff mounts either?!

Also wheres best to get the alloy beam mounts?! Just realised the ones on eBay are arm bushes not beam mounts!!

The standard ford trailing arm bushes are rose jointed. So I'd you fit poly bushes you're going backwards really.

Motor sport developments do the solid beam mounts

I recall an old thread about solid beam mounts and people who had them were saying they weren't as bad as you,d think for noise etc cant comment myself though as only tried pollys with a diff mount which gave the feeling of much better power to the road and togetherness .
